OUR STORY

We started this farm to build something tangible and lasting

The Weinrichs. Traverse City, Michigan. Established 2019.

In 2019, we purchased 78 acres outside Traverse City and began restoring it to working production. We are only the third family to live on this land in the past 100 years.

We started with a simple idea: to leave our office careers and build something real — to raise food we could be proud of and supply it to people in our community.
Today we raise livestock on pasture and work with a small network of local farms to produce a wide range of meat, poultry, and eggs. We partner with quality processors to bring you the taste and transparency of small farm food — with the selection and reliability of a regional supplier.

OUR APPROACH

Simple and old-fashioned, on purpose

Animals are raised outdoors as much as possible, using pasture-based systems suited to Michigan’s climate. We work with breeds that are resilient, well-adapted, and known for producing good flavor. Processing is done at regulated local facilities.

We sell primarily within our region and work with local partners whenever possible — whether for feed, hay, processing, or distribution. Keeping the supply chain short is not just a value. It’s how we maintain the quality and transparency we’ve built this farm around.

WHAT MATTERS TO US

Five things we don’t compromise on

These aren’t marketing language.
They’re the decisions we make every day.

Local

Raised here and sold within our region, supporting the northern Michigan food economy.
Flavorful
We prioritize breeds and practices that result in meat that tastes the way it used to.
Practical
Quality food at prices that work for real families, not just special occasions.
Transparent

Short supply chains, responsible practices, and open doors from farm to customer.

Well-Raised

Animals spend as much time on pasture as Michigan’s seasons allow — with space to move, graze, and behave naturally.

PART OF THE LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM

We're building something that belongs here.

Our farm is part of a local food ecosystem. We work with other local farms for feed, hay, and breeding stock. We supply local grocery stores and restaurants. We serve families across the region who are looking for a better, more direct source for their food.

These connections — to land, to partners, and to customers — are what make this work meaningful to our family.

We sincerely hope you will give us the opportunity to feed your household.
